Dragonboat Metrics ("the App") is a dragon boat training tool that uses your phone's sensors to measure stroke rate, speed, and distance. This policy explains what data the App handles and how.
The App accesses the following device sensors during active use:
The App generates and stores the following derived metrics locally on your device:
All sensor data and derived metrics are used exclusively for displaying real-time feedback during your training session and for reviewing past sessions. The App performs all processing locally on your device. No training data, sensor data, or session records are uploaded to any server or shared with any third party.
The App provides stroke rate, speed, and distance estimates based on your phone's built-in accelerometer and GPS. These metrics are intended for training reference and trend analysis only. Accuracy is subject to many factors including:
The App makes no guarantee that any displayed metric is absolutely accurate. It should not be relied upon for competition timing, official race results, or any purpose where precise measurement is critical. Use at your own discretion.
Session data (metrics history, GPS tracks, settings) is stored exclusively in a local SQLite database on your device. This data never leaves your phone. You can delete individual sessions or all sessions at any time from within the App.
The App does not use any form of cloud storage, analytics SDKs, crash reporting services, or advertising frameworks.
The App does not collect, share, sell, or transmit any personal information or training data to any third party. No data leaves your device.
